Uh . . . I suspect not.  The posts removed were not a offer to sell by the poster.

We have some great moderators here, most of which mind their own interests in other threads where their personal interests are.  There are just too many thousands of comments posted on this site for any of the moderators to constantly keep tabs on what is going on or to misinterpret anything.

In my belief, they respond primarily to a forum member pushing the "Report" button, and then the mods are alerted to interpret and remove without comment.

Yes, they may have done their "job" . . . but I suspect only after "someone" chose they did not want to see any of the prices, styles, and selections posted outside of an official press release.

I know they weren't an offer to sell by a poster.  As I said above, advertising falls into similar SF rule categories.  As for the rest of your comment, I agree that there aren't enough moderators to go around policing all of the threads, so it may well have happened the way you suspect.  However, I don't know why anyone here would have been offended by knowing about upcoming prices in a sale and felt cause to report you.  This thread is one of the most active on SF, so I also suspect that it gets more moderator traffic than you might think.

Question about AE shell cordovan (and perhaps for the people who bought the SF MTO deal): Has anyone gotten a pair of unlined shell cordovan oxfords/bluchers, like the Macneil or Cambridge? I've seen some of the Walnut daltons were unlined, as well as the loafers, but haven't seen any examples of normal shoes like that.

I have the Wolverine x AE 721 and 744 (both unlined), and I think they've made me realize that when I buy more shell, I want unlined. The cow leather linings just always end up being a weak spot for me on lined pairs.

Anyway, would love to see pics if anyone happens to have an unlined pair floating around.

Well,

I thought my Bayfields were supposed to have shipped but I guess not. I was told last week they were in final finish and would go out within a few days. When I sent an email today asking if they had been shipped I was told that actually my Daltons are shipping and not my Bayfields. It is very strange because my Dalton order was cancelled and changed like 3 weeks after the original order so I find it odd that order is now shipping first. I have requested an update on my Bayfields since the info was not correct. I had my hopes up of recieving them this week, oh well...

I still very much appreciate Ae's incredible customer service just a bit perplexed and bummed by this.

I barely see the scratch(es). I'm not sure if Reno would get that out, but personally I wouldn't care and would keep them anyway. The scratch(es) are not that alarming. The wrinkling actually bothers me more.

That's what I was thinking as well.

Alright, are there ways to get rid of the wrinkles?

Unfortunately, I don't think you are going to be able to help those much, and they may even get worse through wear.

bought a pair of AE park avenues.

I was told I should leave a little wiggle room in the heel portion. But I'm afraid this is too much? I bought an 8D. My strands in 8D fit much nicer... while the PA's have more of a "give".

- its the sides that are more loose than the back.

what say AE pros?

I know they are nothing special in this thread, but here is my first ever pair of Allen Edmonds on their first day in the wild.
