The most comfortable shell loafers I've had in years, very supple brown shell cordovan Allen Edmonds Cole.

Those are nice. Didn't see them on the website. Where'd you pick them up?

Ok guys strange thing happened and i'm a bit confused.
I ordered the Player's shoe from endless seen here

I am a 8.5 US in the lombard which is the same last as the player shoe from what I have read.

So I ordered the UK8/US8.5 which I assumed would fit. However when the shoes arrived today the box is marked 8 and the shoe itself is marked as an 8 and when I tried them on they were definitely a lot tighter than my 8.5 Lombards which are marked 8.5 in the shoe. I spoke to the lady at endless and she said that the shoe is marked an 8UK and is actually an 8.5 US.

So my questions are:

1. Does AE ever mark the shoes and box in UK sizes?
2. Is the lady at endless wrong and they actually sent me a US8
3. Should I order one half size up on endless which in the order would say UK8.5/US9 according to the rep and endless.

The rep stated that when the order form shoes the UK size first like they do with the players shoe then the shoe will be marked the UK size.

Hope someone can clear this up for me!

That model is extinct isn't it? Shame because that is one kick-a** loafer.

Received my Fifth Street seconds. The only flaw I can detect is the back of the right heel is shaped a little unevenly in one spot--a very very minor flaw. These fit very well and were a steal at $139. Thank you AE!

Are you in the UK or the US? Anyway, I cannot imagine that AE would ever shoe sizes in UK size. They are an American company and will show the US size in the shoe and on the box. I have little doubt that Endless is wrong. Also, I've tried the Players and the Lombard in person - they fit similarly, as you did expect.

Why not go straight to the horses mouth, go to AE's website and ask the live chat person, or call them up? They should be able to answer your question, or at least help get you a bigger size, based on the shoe number.

Actually, looking at the Endless website, I can see how they are confusing things - they list the sizes as UK/US, in that order. That's ridiculous. It's a US shoe in US sizes. They're just going to confuse customers. However, in this case it seems that you were right and they are confused...

I'm in the US. I can't find any shoe on AE site marked with a UK option. They only show it in the conversion chart.
I'm pretty sure that endless dropped the ball on this one. I always get great service with them but they just have a problem with their listing I think because I can't find an AE shoe anywhere that has a UK size marked. I ordered what the rep called the "UK 8.5" as a replacement and will wait for them to arrive before returning these.

Just a heads up guys for anyone that is considering ordering the player's shoe from endless...double check the sizing

The player's shoe is the only one I can find from AE that is listed in UK/US options.
All the other's seem to be in US only but there is no clear "US" listing next to the sizes. Just 8,9,10,11 etc.

Exactly. I even explained to her that this is a US shoe company and they would never mark their shoes with a UK option on the box or shoe. It makes no sense for them to do that.
I further explained that I needed these for a wedding this weekend ( a little white lie on my part) hoping I could get a little something extra out of her. She didn't budge.

She actually had the nerve to tell me that she would not be able to apply the 100 off promo code I had used because they sent the correct size and I ordered the wrong size according to her!

I went back and forth for 5 minutes and then she agreed to apply the promotion as a "courtesy". Don't get me wrong. I love Amazon and Endless and they have always had amazing customer service is all regards. Today was not their shining moment though.

I wanted to tell the rep

"Look at this picture lady. It says The Great American Shoe Company".
Why would they mark it in a UK size??

I'm more worried about what they are going to send me in exchange. She placed an order for what she says is a "UK8.5/US9" which in reality should be a shoe marked US 8.5 when it arrives. However i'm worried they will end up sending me a US9 now that they realized the mistake..

Just had a thought - try contacting Nordstrom. They carry the shoe. Call a West Coast store that will still be open. Or maybe try their website. I'm sure they can confirm sizing for you.

I will call in the morning. Can't be bothered right now but i'm pretty sure it will be resolved when the replacement comes.
I'm 99% sure they have messed up on this one. It's most likely just a glitch in the way they have it listed which causes the actually packer/shipper to send a shoe marked with the incorrect US size.
