I'm having a hard time deciding between the Delray and the Le Salle. Both are so similar. The Delray model is usually priced higher, but has a steeper discount for the sale, so they both come out to the same. Does anyone have any opinions one way or the other?

Delrays all the way. They have a slightly longer toe and the stitching is better, which makes the Delray a sleeker looking shoe that is easier to dress up. I wear mine with a suit or sport coat all the time.

Contacted the Shoe Bank about a pair or Cronmok and they are the same price as firsts ($219)...

Agreed, awhile back someone posted a picture of it with his AE walnut shoes, looks like a perfect match. I have been considering getting one too.

That is the belt I am planning to order once I figure out what size I want.

I'm on the fence too. The Delrays are at a really nice price right now, and seem to be the best of the split-toe bluchers.

I pulled the trigger on Strands last night. I posted this a few times but no one ever answered.

I wear the 7 last (Larkins) and they "fit" but they're about I would say 1/4 of an inch too long and the width fits great with a little to spare. I asked the nice lady on the phone for sizing help and she said that I should just order the same size. The Strands are on the 5 last which is the longest and thinnest model they have. I ordered the same size in length and width but I was wondering if I should bring down the length by half a size.

Please try to answer quickly so I can call in to change the order if needed before it ships.

Edit: I no longer trust the lady. I said I had the 7 last and she asked me if it was the Delray. Delrays are on the 8 last. But would like some more opinions.

I wear the same size in both. My MacNeils fit snugger though.

I'm just worried a bit about the length because my shoe is a bit longer at the end and there's an occasional slight heel slip because of it. Does the length of your MacNeil end where your foot ends?

The Macneils taper in the toe box, which forces your foot back further. I think you will find the Macneils fit a little snugger in the same size.

P.S. you don't want your toes all the way up to the front of the shoe, especially in the Macneil's 7 last.

I'm guessing you accidentally skipped my first post. I was comparing the 7 last to the 5 last to see if I should size down. I'm not looking to buy the Macneils.

I don't recall, but there isn't that much usable room between the front of my foot and the end of my 5 last shoes either.

Delray in chili or brown? If you already have Strand in walnut wouldn't brown be the better choice? Or are chili and walnut different enough?

Yikes - sorry. I go with the same size in the 5 and 7 - though the 5 fits a little bigger. I find no heel slip by doing this, and my Park Ave / Strand / Cambridges all fit very well. I get them in 12D and I'm a 12D / 12E (right on the line) according to the brannock device.

I have the Larkins (7 last) and am getting the Strands (5 last).
