I don't have the dundees, but here are some photos I took yesterday of my brown shell strands and my cigar shell Alden PTB (Aberdeen last; special makeup at a men's store in Birmingham) that I shined up yesterday with the Mac Method, followed by Alden Defender and some light buffing.  I'm happy with the results. Both pair have had about ten wearings each.  They are illuminated with fading afternoon sunlight through my glass screen door.  Size 9D and 9.5C respectively.

Basically my flat feet/overpronation make it hard to lace up fully in the middle of the shoe. The pair on the right is really snug. They said that the leather would stretch and fit to my foot. I wasn't sure though and took pictures. Any thoughts/advice is appreciated.

Size is 13D. I'm considering trying 13E or 12E. Someone else suggested that bar lacing might help the problem too.

my god did the shoes scream bloody murder when you attempted to tie them?

Don't believe it.  My right strand was also tight (think I have a larger right foot than left) and the sales person told me it would loosen up.  I can say after a dozen + wearings, it hasn't at all.  I talked to AE service and they said that they shoe should be comfortable when buying or it likely wouldn't ever be comfortable.  I can say this is true so far me.  I have tried stretching a couple times and am giving the outlet one last chance.  If it doesn't work, I am working on exchanging or buying new at a good price and dumping the old on eBay.  I would definitely take those back and try sizing up or going wider.

Those are great looking shoes! Is the right cap slightly lighter than the left?  That is somewhat common with shell, correct?

Thanks guys! I am going back to AE tomorrow afternoon. Hope I can find a fit for me :)

It'll be my first AE pair.

No, I think I'm still going to wait on the Strands. They may end up being my 5th or 6th pair of AEs, but I'm still looking for something else to be my 4th. If I can find a store that carries the Kenilworth and I can nail down the sizing, they may be the ticket.

I just got a pair of dark brown Aberdeens for wearing in the rain. How do I take care of them? I was thinking of mostly just using the conditioner to take care of cleaning, but is there a polish that would protect them without being too shiny?

Thanks but I believe the old bourbon color is quite different to the new one. Do you find that to be the case?

Dark brown shell strands?  I thought they only came in brown shell.

There was a lot of talk earlier about the Randolph.  I picked up a pair in the Chili Grain and hate them.  I have worn them twice and they are so tight across the top of my foot that I can't stand to have them on for longer than 5 minutes.  After I wore them out twice I figured I would wear them around my house to hopefully loosen them up, but to no avail.

I have black shell Randolph's and find them very comfortable. They are 9D, the same size I wear in lasts 5 and 8.

Does anyone know a good alternate to AE red cottonwood belt to match neumoks? I just don't want to pay $90...

I couldn't find any information about this so...any help would be appreciated!

Thanks. Yes, the color differences in natural light especially are really great.
