It depends on a couple things. One, you need to make sure the fit guide prints 1:1 with no page scaling. Two, it depends on your heel to ball or arch length. The AE guide only measure heel to toe. Drop by a Nordstrom and get fitted or anywhere they can measure your feet with a Brannock and ask for both sizes (heel to toe and heel to ball). Go with the larger of the two.

Hey guys, how accurate have you all found the PDF for the fitting guide in predicting your size?

On the 5 last...I ended up going down 1 full size and out 1 width compared to the online sizing guide. I think everyone is different though.

Decided to jump on the new parkways. The stitching is really growing on me, and I think it's a great casual flavor, it reminds me a little of the Alden tanker boot. 3 last fits great for someone like me who is in between two widths on the 5 last.

Amazon is running another 20% off select shoes coupon, "SIZE2012". Expires August 29th. Lots of AE styles included. They still have select Elgin sizes for $220 as someone mentioned a while back, less 20% made it $176.
That is a great price for the Elgin, around what I paid for mine as seconds although you can't tell they are seconds. I really like the Elgin a lot and am wearing them today as I'm moving offices today and went very casual.

Looks like AE has a new webgem--River Oaks, ostrich leather, similar to the Ashbury.  Sharp looking.  On the homepage.

When I try to click through I am taken to their webgems page, which claims "No Items Found."

Whoops.

...nevermind. They've fixed it sometime in the last half hour. Nice!

I agree that the stitching looks very nice!

Those look very narrow; what size do you wear? I'm wondering whether it's the camera angle or your foot.

My haul from the last two Nordstrom's sales: Burgundy Cliftons and Walnut Strands.
I've applied a coat of AE cleaner/conditioner and AE cream polish (merlot, walnut).
Should I use wax polish as well before wearing or wait until the creases build?
Hmm...can't figure out how to upload my pic from photobucket. Keeps saying its not compatible.
Finally...I have gotten to a computer:

Wore the Strands with Jeans and a button down to dinner Saturday. Received a few compliments. They looked great. Just a bit of soreness on my pinky toes at the end of the night.

So...how many wears for each of these before I can really work on a mirror shine using wax polish?

They are actually a bit wider (in the forefoot) and longer than the 5 last, my feet are pretty small at 8.5D. I like how the heel isn't super wide like some other Ae lasts. They feel as if I sized up to a 9 on the 8 last in the forefoot (which is usually too narrow for me) but kept the heel of a 8.5 5 last.

Very nice. I have the Walnut Strands and Park Ave's in merlot. Those two colors give a lot of versatility.

My thoughts exactly. Next up I would like something in burnished brown. Was thinking the Kenilworth or the Neumora. Then I will move on to a black balmoral...wish they still made the Hale in black.

You won't find a price worth going through any more hassle... $240 is a great price, I would jump on that right away and never look back.

I don't like the broguing on them, but I will say, in black, i LOVE them... I would have bought those in a heart beat, but now, since i am not crazy about the 5th Ave cap, I will be getting the Rutlidges instead... goddamn independence collection

Oh and for a burnished brown, the Neumora looks amazing. That is my next shoe, hands down.
