What makes someone attractive?

Looks aside, what traits make someone 'attractive' in your opinion (I'm mainly talking about how guys can become attractive, not so much women)? Sure you can LOOK good, but I think you need personality traits to actually be attractive, i.e. people WANT to talk to you.

Any ideas for what to work on? Smiling more, making jokes, using people's names, posture, dress like a frat boy, etc?

I think I've gone too far into the whole clothing thing, and want to start fitting in again with the people at my college. Thinking about joining a gym to start, and not spending as much time on clothes. Any other ideas?

+1 if I can tell a girl is smarter than me I will be interested so long as she isn't a total barker or really weird.

Confidence; smiling, eye contact, posture, and I'm sure there are more.

I've thought about this too..but I've found it really hard to find women who are smarter than me . So I've settled for one's who aren't stupid.

I have been attracted to plenty of womenz who were not much to look at, but when they spoke to me, I immediately found myself attracted. Helps that I am not 20 anymore and just looking for big breasteses and blatant promiscuity..

For women to be attracted to men - Body language, confidence, Leader of Men, Protector of Loved Ones, the ability to communicate these qualities effectively Power and protectiveness is a big one that make the ladies drop their panties. If it was humor and intelligence, I'd be getting more ass than a toilet seat.

Dewd is trying to figure out how he can be more attractive to women, not what makes women attractive to you.

Seriously OP, learn to be more comfortable in your own skin / around other people. No amount of posturing will make you more attractive than being confident about being yourself.

Somewhat fit, intelligent, cultured, good sense of humor, good smile, good hygiene, some sense of style. Confidence doesn't hurt either. I'm not too picky, you don't have to have a six pack to be attractive. When it comes to culture, I like someone who has an open mind, especially regarding food. I can't stand people who refuse to eat ethnic foods. As for style, they don't have to be perfect, i'd just rather they be above average and not "trendy." I'd definitely rather someone spend a small amount and look mediocre than spend a lot and end up looking just as bad if not worse (Diesel and all that).
