ITT we discuss which currencies are the most unusual and aesthetically attractive.

I'll start with Australia's polymer notes (in circulation since 1988):

(The $1 and $2 are coins)

Looks like play money. Nice thing about the colors is that it makes it easy to tell at a glance what denomination one is handling.

Coolest thing while in Australia (actually one of the many coolest thing over there ) was a club where you would tip the barmaid by putting the money in a huge glass vase full of water

Blech, any money with Queen Liza on it sucks! I'm a proud American.

I have about 50 bucks each in maybe 40 or so currencies at home. basically, enough to take a taxi from the airport if I get in at night and can't exchange currencies.

Australian never struck me as that attractive. Euros are nice. Sing is very nice, maybe my favorite.

a lot of the arab money, and the indian money gets really dirty very quickly, and loses a lot of its color.

some of the eastern european is nice - I have a bunch of albanian money which is just huge - maybe 3 or 4 times the size of a dollar bill. but not very pretty.

I like the greenback personally. I can't stand different size notes btw.
