He's not really crazy, just has a selfish and unrealistic view of his country's woes.

Yes, whites "conquered" the land there (as did the people they conquered it from). But since then, they've used the land a helluva lot more productively than the black "farmers" (if occasionally effective subsistence agriculure can be called that) ever did.

So kicking them off the land without due process is stupid. You starve all the people and lose much capital investment. A more sensible approach would've been a gradual seizure of land.
