The cognac wholecut shoes posted on his blog in the link below are mine. They are outstanding, fit great, and are very well made. Marcell has posted many pictures of how he makes shoes (as well as videos) on his blog and these are the techniques he used with mine.

If you are considering bespoke shoes, I would certainly recommend seeking out Marcell. He is a true craftsman and very accommodating. He understands his customers and will make whatever you want. I ordered through Rosenbaums's in Brooklyn and during the test shoe fitting session, I decided that I did not like the initial toe shape. After sending him my desires and pointing out the toe shapes on other shoes of his; he completely remade the last. The final product came out just as I had envisioned.

I am quite happy with my Koronya purchase and as Fabro has stated previously - Marcell is the real deal.

Pictures of makign the semaless wholecut:

Gentlemen - this is a few pictures of making the seamless wholecut. I didn't want to show it before I finish this shoe, but as it has generated some interest, I do so.

More in my blog.

Well, let's say you helped to focus on it. It was in the que for years, but I realised that it has a cache in SF. So why not? I always wanted to make some. But I don't make so many, I promise..

Marcell, what last do you use that is equal or similar to the Vass U last?
I just what to know ahead before I order from you. I love the seamless wholecut. That is something always impressed from the Vass oxfords, that seamless heel makes them more elegant.

It is perfectly different from the U last. Yes, seamless wholecut is elegant and very special. No so many makers offers this.
