So it got past the Spam Filter

As many know you can edit your various filters on email clients so as to not allow email with certain words to pass through as it identifies them with spam. Of course many of the spammers know that so they change some words so as to have it pass. A great example is writing Viagra as V1agra etc.

Here is one that got through this morning and I received this email. yeah it got through... but what exactly is the point?

A recent study proved that as long as the first and last letter in any word is correct, the average person's brain will fill in the middle and you'll be able to read and comprehend the message. Impressive how much that email actually makes sense.

I like the spam e-mails that try to be really highbrow. I don't have the exact e-mail still in my box, sadly, but I recently got one whose body consisted entirely of the following passage from Master and Margarita:

Quote:
"The entry of the magician with his tall assistant and his cat, who
trotted on stage on his hind legs, pleased the audience greatly. ' Armchair,
please,' said Woland quietly and instantly an armchair appeared on stage
from nowhere. The magician sat down. ' Tell me, my dear Faggot,' Woland
enquired of the check-clad buffoon, who apparently had another name besides
' Koroviev,':
'do you find the people of Moscow much changed? ' The magician nodded
towards the audience, still silent with astonishment at seeing an armchair
materialise from nowhere.
'I do, messire,' replied Faggot-Koroviev in a low voice.
'You are right. The Muscovites have changed considerably..."

I don't remember what it was trying to sell.

Book club subscription?

The other day I got one from lady telling me she would kill herself and eat her dog if I found prescription medicine cheaper from anywhere else but the link "she" provided. She ended by saying the dog had survived so far.

Probably the only spam I've actually read for years and didn't delete instantly, so it did something right!
