Well...what about business gets you out of bed in the mornings?

Also, have you been to your alumni network meetings? Bauer has a fairly active alumni network and iirc they meet monthly at least. Get an idea of what you want to do - specifically - and pursue it. Pick a direction: any direction will do.

After that: network - try volunteering for a charity - corporate types spend time there. Become a docent for the Museum of Natural Sciences and start making contacts there. Join a Toastmasters club and brush up on your speaking/presenting skills. Experience comes in all forms, not just those with a paycheck.

Sounds like the situation I was in after graduating UH in '05. I ended up going to the Paralegal school on Kirby, had a certificate within 7 months, and was employed before I got my cert even. My minor was Business Admin, my major was Econ. Now I spend my days going after patent infringers.

the problem for me is that my degree came from the college of technology, which isnt as recognized as bauer, so i dont get all those bauer perks. volunteering sounds like a good idea but i'd just have to balance that with something that actually pays

Ouch that sucks man. My younger brother graduated from Bauer with a Marketing degree and is making considerably more than me now.

Yeah. Not a bad deal. I intend to eventually go back to school to further my Econ education and get a JD to eventually, hopefully be a damages expert some day. I'd be able to bill those attorney rates and not have to work as hard as a lawyer. Well, that's the thought, anyway.
