Microsoft Courier

Most of today's tablets are nowhere near their potential. But this, if it has half the brain power and capacity of a decent laptop, and with this interface, I might consider replacing my work laptop with this little Courier.

That's nice and sleek, but where is the real keyboard?

The stylus? They might do an onscreen keyboard, but I doubt it. But if you need one, there's always the USB option.

Maybe it could have an iPhone-esque keyboard?

fuck that.. a netbook with a touchscreen would be better.. No need to worry anyway, Microsoft will find a way to fuck this up for everyone.

This is the correct answer to hype for any Microsoft product.

I just scanned the link briefly and I hate to buy anything that is first a first generation computer type product.

Anybody have any ideas where MS is going to price this thing? If the price is right I might try one as a possible throw away.

As mouthwatering as it looks, I won't believe it until I see a real prototype.

Also, I don't really trust M$ on the user interface side of things, let alone the reliability of the OS. My money is still on the Apple tablet, if it ever sees the light of day.

FTFY.

Until recently I would have had doubts about how practical an on-screen keyboard would actually be but MS really did make major tablet improvements with Windows 7, I've been loving it on my tablet since June. I think they might be able to actually pull this off if Apple doesn't trump them.

I could definitely see getting something like this. Sort of a cross between an e-reader/kindle and a netbook.

I'm not sure about learning a whole new system, and getting it to do everything I'd need.

Being 2 tablet screens definitely increases it's functionality IMO. If you lay it down flat and it can act in a similar way to the MS Surface, I could see massive potential, especially if they manage to keep the ease of file transfer from cameras/phones of the Surface.
