I ran a search and came up empty, but I just saw a quick write up this month's GQ regarding Brooks Brothers new extra slim fit shirting. Apparently they are priced at or around $80 and are supposedly much slimmer than their standard or slim fit shirts (which still aren't that slim to me). Does anyone have any experience with this newer fit and have any thoughts or reviews to share?

I was hoping the SW&D crowd would chime in with any thoughts as the MC crowd's idea of slim usually doesn't fit mine. I didn't see anything, but I'll take another look. Thanks.

Can't comment on the extra slim fit being that the regular slim fit suits me just fine.

I see. I've tried the slim fit and find that the sleeves are still too full for me, I was wondering if the extra slim fit would have removed the Incredible Hulk sleeves.

I found the MC thread via the google search: http://www.styleforum.net/showthread.php?t=131078

i went to a BB store and tried on a Black Fleece BB0 oxford, which I believe was "slim fit". It was still megahuge.

Tried on one of the contrast-color OCBD Extra Slim shirts in my local store. I like the fit. Slimmer than their slim fit (which, I know most here don't find slim at all). I actually ordered the one shown in the new GQ about a month ago (navy/white stripe & purple/white stripe) and have worn both several times. http://www.brooksbrothers.com/IWCatP...=&sectionsize= I'll try to post a fit pic later today.

That would be fantastic, JOA, thank you.

Yeah I read about the logo, I'm going to see if my local BB carries these to compare as I am just about the same stats as you.

cripes, I'm 6' 165pounds and usually wear a 15neck, their regular slim fit is big on me --it must be ginormous on you guys. I was thinkiing extra slim would actually fit, but I'm not sure after reading it fits you at 145pounds.

neck measurements are jacked up for me. too tight, and the arms are a bit wide. But good direction i guess. Fit like hickey imo.

This is too subjective of a statement. By any reasonable standard, Black Fleece shirts are quite slim enough.
