Brooks Brothers Extra Slim Fit Shirts - Page 41

did anyone experience any kind of shrinkage from washing or drying?  If so, was it supima or what?  sleeve length shrink at all? I'd prefer it if it did since the 14.5/32 is stilla tiny bigger than I would have liked.

Not really. Maybe a small amount, but nothing really noticeable. I suspect that the must-iron shirts tend to shrink a bit more than the non-iron versions, but I don't have any personal experience to back this up.

In my experience, well-made non-iron shirts don't shrink very much. But your mileage may vary.

None of my BB shirts had any shrinkage after the first few washes. After washing on cold, I typically let it dry under low-heat setting for about 20 minutes before hang drying the rest of the way. This method worked best for me.

I am 5'7 147lbs and BB ESF Extra small fits me perfectly.

I don't get what is all the hate with "Red Fleece".

spewin, amature hour...
my BB ESF shirts arrived few days ago to little New Zealand but sad to see they are bit big on me frown.gif
i think i got all paranoid about them going to shrink so ordered 1/2 inch up on the neck and 1 up on the sleeves, but feels like alotta material all bunched up on me now.
for reference im 5'9, 70kg, currently hitting the gym but more toning than bulking and got a 38-39 chest.
i ordered 15.5x34, but prob should of gone with 15x33 (was my gut feeling)
i got 4 of em, so wondering my options.
do i try and get them fixed/taken in at an alterations store?
or sell em off, or send em back for a refund (won't be cheap from NZ)
also for an exchange/refund/return, do the shirts need to be the exact same way they came in, perfectly packaged and all?
i only opened 2 of em.
cheers fellas

sorry to hear about that. i've made the same mistake with another shirt company. but it was from the UK to the US, haha. It's going to be pretty expensive to taper the sides, armholes and shorten the sleeves. the price alone, which I've done, will exceed the price the cost of the shirt. you can return the shirt as is, as long as you didn't wash it. I would just exchange it for another size.

Man I really wish they would stop putting pockets on all of their non-iron shirts that are not French cuff.

I don't know if the current French cuff shirts have pockets, but it would make sense for them not to put them on the French Cuff shirts than the barrel cuff ones. French cuff being the more formal of the two.

French cuff shirts don't, which of course makes sense.  However it would be nice to have an option on the barrel cuffs without pocket also.

I was actually wearing one I picked up a while back and it does have the pocket. Guess the newer ones don't.

Are the ESF sports shirts able to be worn untucked?
i think they run long the one i tried on instore was definitely long for me.
I probably wouldn't wear untucked either.

I started buying BB shirts FW12 and have continued on - always slim fit. I always wear them untucked - no problem at all. Unbelievable value and quality (when purchased at 25% off) compared to what else is out in the marketplace.

Would`ve been sweet if the corporate discount 30% stacked with the 3/$225 deal
