They're attempting to go at a younger crowd. The typical BB fit is "fat old man". They have to do something different. I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that they are (or were) getting pretty heavy competition from Vineyard Vines  and the like

Looks like they stopped producing ESF OCBD this season huh? That sucks, they were an okay alternative to uniqlo.

I have not come across a dress shirt that is as wrinkle free as the Brooks Brothers ones.

I'm 5'10.5" /152 lbs and the BB ESF 16 neck/33 sleeves fits great. I have a 41 inch chest.

ESF aren't just for tiny guys--really they're for anybody with an athletic build with a large drop. At 6'2" and 205 lbs I wear them well (comparatively). I have a 44 inch chest, 34 inch waist, 37 inch arms, and a 16.5 neck. ESF works great.

 

The one caveat I'll offer to larger guys is that the sleeves are snug at the wrist; you'll only be able to wear slim dress watches. Also I don't like the single button placket. BB does two button on other shirts.

 

I've recently started stocking up on these. Tried all around and these have made me happier than most.

FWIW, just got in the mail today that those with Corporate Discount cards will have a special 30% off all full price stuff on May 22nd or 23rd (don't remember offhand, but I'll double check). No exclusions according to the mailer.

Hmm, I have 3 ESF Supima Oxfords (USA made) in a 16x35. I'm 6'2" 185 lbs w ~6" drop (39/33 chest/waist) and these seem a bit tight across the shoulders and upper chest. When buttoning it without a tie I need to leave 2 undone as with only one undone, the fabric is visibly pulling around the 2nd button right at clavicle level. The shoulder seams fall at the right place and the shirt has lots of excess fabric around the waist and stomach.

I'd agree with others who said they slimmed the top and left too much around the waist. Since I'll have to get these taken in anyway, perhaps I'll try regular slim next time. I do like the fabric, collar and construction details. Perhaps my shoulders are too broad for this cut.
