Temp agencies?

I am looking to move to either South Florida or the Chicago in the very near future and need to find a job. Does anyone know of any legitimate temp agencies in either of these areas?

Temp agencies are useless, and full of people who hate you because you graduated high school.

Don't think that's necessarily true since people use them as a stepping stone to long term careers, and not just as admin assts. Heck, I've seen temp positions for lawyers...

As you inferred, this would depend highly on your industry and level of qualification. On the low-end they aren't really helpful and can be a bit destructive toward your career. On the high-end there are absolutely many professionals who are employed through these types of agencies (lawyers, engineers, etc.). Generally these are referred to more as "contract recruiters" rather than temp agencies.

Really, I would just use it as a way to make decent money while looking for another job. I'm currently applying to med school and would like to make some decent money before possibly starting next fall.
