I am a commuter myself, and it's hard to make events because A) I live 1.5 hours away and B) the neighborhood outside the school is dangerous from 10PM and onwards.

And not to mention the strict rules on staying over.

I'm a commuter also, but my college is 70% commuters so everyone is in the same boat. Campus is only 15 minutes away so going back to socialize and stuff isn't bad. Being a commuter at any school means you have to get as to know as many people as possible during classes and in between. It's not like a regular university where you meet most people at parties and other events. You meet people during classes that you make plans to party with later. That's how it works when your a commuter. Learning how to socialize and being able to interact with different types of people is one of the biggest things you'll learn at college. Sorry for pulling this thread out.
