The StyleForum Working Hierarchical Suit Quality List (SFWHSQL!) - Page 97

I had to laugh.  Wearing a green shirt for St. Patrick's Day I look like the riddler when I tried the jacket on.  No, I won't be posting a picture of that.  All I need is to buy some MOP buttons for the sleeve and I am all set.  I know everyone doesn't think as highly as I do but I need zero tailoring.  Great to keep tailoring money in my pocket and keep the jacket as is.

As promised here is a picture.  I was going to wear grey dress pants but then thought let's go with navy blue.  I was reading an article on styleforum about the difficulties of wearing a jacket with navy pants because many guys were saying that navy pants don't really go with any color jacket.   So I figured let's pair the two together and allow comment.

The picture is a little small since I wanted the whole outfit in the picture (socks included).  I can send a close up of the jacket if requested.

Just a bit loud for me. I have to dress fairly conservatively at work. Very bold choice including the socks. Also, this forum is more about discussing suit quality overall. Try the "What I Wore Today" forum to solicit comments on how an overall look might work. You might get some rather direct comments based on the colors and the casual nature of the jacket. Flap pockets with buttons, especially on the chest pocket are a bit unusual. Good luck!

I bought a crummy suit that didn't work out. I'm in NYC and need to buy OTR today (it can ship later... Just need it by 5/20. I'm looking for something that a nice light charcoal/ dark grey.

Any recommendations on where I should go if I'm looking to spend $1,500 - 2,000?

Thanks!

Or Barneys, though Bloomingdales will get you further under $2k

Paul Stuart and BB are next to each other and 2k would get you something in both cases

Has anyone here had any experience with Loro Piana RTW sport coats and sweater jackets ?

Also, I hear that Loro Piana offers custom (bespoke) jacket and suit construction for clients, has anyone ever undergone that process with them ?

There fabrics are awesome and have always tempted me but then I don't the know quality of finished product and durability aspect of it.
