Not the TOTAL solution but it still works well ..

vinegar does not set indigo dye.

i have apc new standards and im completely new to all this.
so in order to stop my jeans from bleeding onto my suede clark desert boots or ice sperrys

i would soak my jeans inside out in warm water?
how long do i soak for?
do i dry first then let soak it again?

That won't stop it. Putting tape under the hems will.

This pretty much takes care of the problem. I wore my white achilles with my apc's in a rain storm and there was no indigo transfer whatsoever. Duct tape ftw.

The correct answer is "Fuck it" plus a rag dipped in clear vinegar every so often.

Duct taping the inside of your jeans makes me think of those people who put rubber bands on their legs to ride a bicycle.
