I'm going to start signing all of my emails with "Cheers!"

Seriously. The most universal word/salutation/whatever ever. Even better than "Seacrest OUT!"

But yeah. As in:

Mike,

Didn't get that spreadsheet yet. Please resend, Bob is looking for a reason to fire you already.

I started doing this, because in the sciences, it seems like everyone uses it as an email sign-off, and I'm not even corresponding with British scientists. I think it works since it doesn't feel overly familiar or formal.

i did that for a few years but then i just started feeling like a douche now i sign off: suck it, ddml

I've started doing it since living in the UK for a few years.

I love using "cheers" when the body of the email is quite aggressive. It always gives me a good laugh.
