There's been little talk of this British brand on the forums and it seems like a good idea to start a thread about it. I just picked up one of their madras shirts:

The pattern really caught my eye.

Size 0 fits like a slim 46. Good cut, interesting details, lightweight linen/cotton fabric. Buttons are nothing special though.

I find their prices are reasonable, and while not ground-breaking, most of the collection seems totally wearable.

Any thoughts?

Their shoe collabs with Grenson and Quoddy have always looked legit. I also like their knitwear. Specifically, their fisherman's cardigan (http://www.albamclothing.com/product.aspx?productid=163) is exactly what I've been looking for ... but alas the grey marl has been sold out of my size, 1, forever.

A number of SFers have commented positively on them before. Braidkid was the last, I think, in whodini's SS10 sticky.

Oh, and a handwritten note included in the package is always a nice touch.

I'd get some knits if they'd restock the small sizes.

I've ordered a couple times from them before, nothing but praise. Great service, very helpful, fast replies to emails.

Fishermans cardigan is one of my favorite knits.

Yeah, I was just thinking to myself, "Why is there no Albam thread?"

I've got their "classic slim denim" or whatever they call it. After 8 months of near-daily wear (no washes or rinses) they look almost as good as new. I've got a linen/cotton popover (either the "painters shirt" or carpenter shirt," can't remember), a striped t-shirt, a cycling cap, the slim chinos, and my favorite, the Fisherman's Caguole, which is perhaps the perfect rain coat and one of my favorite things I own. Great folks, super friendly and helpful, and prices are way reasonable. 75 GBP for the jeans is crazy... cheaper than anything comparable, and have held WAY better than any pair of Nudies I've ever owned at twice the price.

Same here. I'm very happy with their Fishermans Cagoule and denim.

And shipping is basically covered by the extra VAT discount.

Another plus for them. They don't charge and pocket the VAT for orders shipped over here.

The fisherman's cagoule is the perfect summer jacket; I got mine in June and have worn it almost every day. I had the pleasure of stopping in at their London store, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

Anyone picked up the Hill Walker jacket? I'd like to see some fit pics. Hard to get a feel for jacket, though it looks great.
