So I am sitting here drinking an $18 bottle of Rittenhouse 100 Rye again, and to be honest, I love it as much as I like some of the other whiskeys almost twice its price. Good shit.

What's your favorite cheapie bottle that you can sip and enjoy and never feel like you're settling for crap?

There are some world-class beers that can be bought for about $8 a six-pack. On the cheap, I go for St-Ambroise. I don't know how available it is outside of Québec however.

Chateau Ste. Michelle Riesling. Can usually find it for under $10, sometimes under $8. It drinks very well.

Evan Williams Black has been ruining my liver for about 4 years now. Usually under $15 for a liter. Can't beat that. Best cheap bourbon around.

Chateau Saint-Sulpice (Bordeaux) is a very good wine for the price. Able to get the 2006 for $12 and the 2007 for $10. Both are very good.
