What Samuelsohn model is identical to or close to Paul Stuart's Stuart model?

I had some free time to day in mid-town, and tried on a few suits. As before, the suit that fits me the best is the Paul Stuart "Stuart" model. However, I live in Boston so this is not a practical option with at least 2 fittings required (at least for me over the last 30 + years.) I know they are made by Samuelsohn. Is there a Samuelsohn model that is identical or close to the Paul Stuart "Stuart" model?

Does Martin Greenfield have a model that is close to the Paul Stuart "Stuart" model? There is a tailor in Boston that does Greenfield MTM I could try as well.

For the price of Greenfield MTM, why not go bespoke with Rizzo? Suits start at a relatively affordable price of $2000.

Rizzo or perhaps Raymond on Congress street is an option. I thought the prices were more like $2,500 and up for what I would want, but I haven't probed very far.

J. Press will do what I think is Greenfield for $1,850 but only out of New York. There is someone else that does Greenfield, that I will price out in Boston. But yes, I think with the upper level of MTM, custom probably makes more sense. All the reason to probe the Samuelsohn option. The Paul Stuart I looked at was just under $1K. The fabric and finish is not as nice, but the cut I really like. I just might need a local tailor to do a final round of tweaks. Two for the price of one (even though not the same) is intriguing. It is hard to spring for a custom suit when I just don't where suits very often any more. (But I do like wearing them.)

I had a Samuelson 3Piece made last year, The vest has lapels. In the newest Fall line the exact same suit is there. It is the Grey Pinstripe worn with the purple Gingham shirt. They are identical and gets compliments every time I wear it. I've seen other items that looked like the ones I had made.

You may just want to buy the suit and have it altered locally. Even if alterations were $200, Sameulsohn retails for around $1200, so no net loss. My understanding is that the Stuart is a proprietary model of Paul Stuart, so instead of finding the closest Samuelsohn model, may make more sense to get the exact model you like and pay out of pocket for alterations. Just a thought.

My current thinking is to buy the Stuart model, have the first round of alterations done by their tailors and have the final tweaks done locally. Then, have someone copy the suit for the next one. The reason the suit is under a grand is the fabric is not great. Paul Stuart has too much overhead in that store to offer "good deals" and stay in business.
