Hey man-

Maybe it was your breath because when you pronounced Patek it probably pushed a lot of air from your mouth to his nostrils .

Sidenote: Interesting how Avi Rossini doesn't have a website.

Unless you expect to be treated like a schmuck your whole life, i suggest going back and telling the security guard you dont need an appointment to look at a watch, you've got money to spend and that they are ether going to be happy to help or they're missing a sale.

Then tell them they better be prepared to show you every fucking watch in the store.

I would also mention that you expect to be served a glass of wine, and tell him to shove off and get his shine box ready.

He better watch out with this one.

Skinny makes a good point. I've found his suggested approach to be effective more times than a few in such environments.

+1, once I actually told a friend accompanied me to a store to stop acting so frickin' nice to salespeople for nothing. If you act so nice to them like they're doing you a favour by letting you in the store, they'll reconsider that favour.

This advice only works if he actually has enough money to buy a Patek.... otherwise walking out of that store empty handed will be one loooong walk of shame.

Not if before he left he said, "Are these the only ones you got?" scoffed, and left in a huff.

That happened to me once at Costco. I was like, "Look bitch, you better let me in cause I am not leaving without my 5 gallons of ketchup or 3000 plastic spoons."

+1. Especially when we all know the problem is that the OP is black. This would never happen to a white or azn dude.

I often go into the locally owned high-end jeweler in my home town and manhandle the loose diamonds. They will usually take out a whole binder full of them and let me inspect every single one if I want to. I know the owner but that is beside the point, the point is that if the OP wants to get into anything higher than a Zales he needs to toughen the fuck up

Here's the problem with being a dickhead while shopping for luxury goods/cars : good salespeople are trained/experienced to know the buying types of behavior, and easily tell the difference between an overcompensating schmuck who isn't buying shit and a confident, well-poised highroller who might be wearing his trainers, and yet could buy the entire store, if he so desires. My guess, the security guy qualified you as someone who isn't buying shit

You should go back with a Patek minute repeater on your rist and ding its chimes in the security guard's ear. That will show him!
