F*** Leica, gimme a Bessa III

I saw Fuji prototyped a new 120 rangefinder a couple of years ago, but figured nothing ever came of it.

Just found out that Voigtlander put it into production late last year. $2250 - I would have sold a kidney for one a couple of years ago. Still might - even if I just hold onto it, surely I'll have a darkroom someday.

That's an awesomely cool looking camera.

It reminds me of a Polaroid 110B I had a few years back - converted from ancient Polaroid roll film to the 3x4 packfilm. Loved that camera, but couldn't afford to keep feeding it Polaroid film.

There's also the Mamiya 7, of course. Cheaper, interchangeable lenses, but printing 6x6 full-frame gives me wood.

This seems to follow in the tradition of the old Zeiss Ikontas and Kodak Retinas, with the fold-out bellows mechanism.

These cameras are quite compact despite taking 120 film.

i prefer the lettering on the fuji gf670. nothing on the front of the top plate, etc. plus, the voigtlander version calls the lens "heliar," even though it isn't a heliar design. it's actually a planar.

A friend of mine just got one of these.
