apparently facebook "memorializes" accounts of deceased members, which in itself is a little weird. not sure if i'd want a shrine on facebook when i die.

A young member of my fraternity drowned a few weeks ago. His page degenerated into a battle between the majority of his friends and some girl who for some reason didn't want his personal art posted. I don't think she was even family. It was embarrassing for all.

Don't worry.

Conne's Grim Reaper thread will catch it.

I got somebody to post.

I had an acquaintance that died from anorexia and her Facebook page was left up. It was odd to see unaware people post 'Where have you been?! We need to get together! I haven't seen you in three months!"

Hmmm, now considering bequeathing my handle and password to a carefully-selected evil genius for continued mayhem and perfume advice under the Thomas brand. Happens all the time:

Emily Post's Guide to Etiquette - no longer written by Emily Post, unless she writes by seance
Dear Prudence - no longer written by Prudie
Dear Abby
Miss Manners
Dread Pirate Roberts

I think it's feasible.

Weird that it wasn't totally apparent from the other comments. Anyone who stumbled on my friend's page would have had to have been pretty blind to not see what had happened.

Did she die from anorexia or malnutrition or starvation?
