Average is 16 yrs old for girls and 18 for boys.

Genetics determine when our development stops. But depending on what growth your talking about, sometimes never. Cells continue development until death.

Height wise they estimate around 21.

I went from 5'11 at 17 to 6'2 by 20. Weird it didn't happen sooner.

I've been told that can be up until 22 for men, but that is pretty uncommon.

I had a weird condition in 8th grade that was the result of a massive growth spurt. I grew 3 inches in about a month. Went from 5'8" to 5'11". The resulting surgery removed growth plates in the hips and filled me full of titanium screws... so any further growth was only in the knees, which my ortho said was minimal. Apparently I lost 2/3 inches of growth in the hips. Finished up at 6'2" by 18 though.

Any docs out there care to diagnose?

im a weird case, i shot up really fast early from 10 to around 14 to about 5'11.

everybody claimed i will be a very tall guy. but then i just stopped growing.

ive been the same height ever since. now just a typical short average joe

Humans have two growth spurts. One stops at around 18/19, one stops early 20s. The second is much small and may not happen at all (biology class in high school).

i hope that is true. i have a very very small nose. i have to always have bridges installed on my plastic eyeglass frames.
