Margiela jeans

source: oki-ni.com I've noticed that on all pairs of Martin Margiela men's jeans the area around the fly looks odd (as seen in image). Is this designed like that on purpose or a mistake in design?

I'll bet you that they forgot to button the fly before the picture.

MMM jeans do a have a fucked up fly like that, there's like two levels of placket and the hook cinches the top portion together to hide that, but not the bottom, so the first placket creeps out and kind of shows. It's not a real concern for me, it's more the fact that MMM jeans are the fucking tightest jeans I've ever had, they're fit like April 77's except with a higher rise.

also, the 4-stitch tag stitching on the back is in the stupidest place, right where your tailbone will stretch out the back. Those stitches will always break, at least one of them, from the pressure.

I have the hook as a buttton fly on two 'office' Margiela trousers. Nice trick, not quite visible though.

also, bulging fly is not a bad look, per se.

It's deliberate. Ladies love the cock bulge.

I've never noticed the crotch problem. Maybe I'm saying too much about my crotch here.

I think that the 4 stitch tag on knits and shirts are in the stupidest place. On a pair of jeans, it's the tag that rips off. Not a big deal, unless you really want people to know that you are wearing Margiela. On a delicate knit, the thread attaching the tag is often stronger than the knit, causing a tear at the slightest pulling. I've taken to snipping the tag off of my MMM stuff. I think that it's become the fashion douchbag's version of a GIGANTIC pony anyway.

I like how W+H blatantly ripped off both MA+ and Margielas logos

The stiches are like the male version of a tramp stamp on pants.

True!

All my MMM trousers have the same "issue." It's not a bad look.

It's not that noticeable so I don't mind but I find it to be rather odd..

It's there on all my Margiela stuff (pants/jeans). Another quirk from the master...

I rather like it as it is something different.

Mine stay on. I hate ostentatious branding, but the stitching is on the back, and no one I know notices or would know what it is if they did notice. I sort of like the oddness of it.

If you are around fashionistas all day maybe it is different for you.
