I use Pelikan blue-black and Aurora black. I once used Private Reserve but now use it for red and yellow only.

The namiki VP/ pilot capless is a nice pen but the filling mechanism is a pain in the a***, I basically use a syringe for refilling. The parker 51 is a good work pen and will be stiff enough for carbons etc if you need to work with them.

I have a vintage Parker 51 but I do not like it...it feels cheap.

I have a small collection of a few dozen FP's that I use on a regular basis but I've been told everywhere I've worked that I cannot write in patient charts with them. I do use them for personal session notes and keep my pel m1000 or omas paragon handy at all times.

haters.

Why can't you use FPs to write clinical notes?
