good lord what a headache, am i right guys

will probably be starting my own for photography within a year. not looking forward to said headaches. my dad has had his own small business for almost 30 years so at least i'll have him around for help.

what does a photography business involve? a studio?

is rewarding and a huge pain in the balls, not particularly in that order.

Remember, owning a business is about running a business. A lot of people think by owning a business they'll be able to spend more time working with their technical skill set or their area of expertise. The opposite becomes true. To be successful, plan out every step of the process - franchises are successful because they've documented the entire steps - the physical presentation, the predictability of the end product (think companies like McDonalds and Dunkin Donuts), etc. Nothing is left to improvisation. I am thinking of making a business too and yeah, it makes me dizzy. Though I have to take painkillers everyday just to make me think straight
