Yes. Pills, sold to me as "medium-strength". Sorry, can't remember the brand. If it's bad, don't hesitate to see Doc. I did, unecessarily.

have since I was 8 or 9.

Try Calms Forte.

Then over the counter.

Then Ambien or Ambien CR.

Sonesta's s'posed to be good, and I just got some Seroquel to try.

I love trying new drugs!

Last year in January in my first year of law school I went through a period where I overextended myself with volunteering and such, and began experiencing insomnia. After 2 weeks of only getting 2 or 3 hours of sleep a night I saw my doctor who gave me Zopiclone. I only used them every so often and just tried to rearrange my schedule so that I could fully relax before going to bed. It eventually got better.

For a milder touch, Tylenol PM knocks me out when I'm having trouble sleeping. 1-2x a week, I'd say.

Considering it's spring, Benadryl may be effective on two fronts.

Check your diet. Check exercise before bed. Review stressors. Don't medicate over any of these.

Do you drink caffeine at all? If so, only drink in the morning, never drink for lunch, dinner, etc.

I've had good luck with a rooibos tisane, more relaxing than chamomille to me.

Smoke a joint and put on a movie, you'll be out in no time and have the best night of sleep of your life.

A dose of vitamin Q:

This probably isn't the best solution though, as I usually feel all loopy and cold medicine-y the next day.

I had a dream a few times that I had insomnia. It was horrible.

Use that regularly and it will jack up your sleep before long. At least it does for me. Not worth it.
