You really need to go preview that lament. I'm not kidding about it being heart rending. Donald Riddell was a very famous fiddler and was the King's Piper. He wrote this for the funeral and he never wrote another song after this.

i heard it last year on mad men, but 'cup of sorrow' by george jones.

'scotland the brave', as was mentioned bagpipes have quite the captivating quality to them.

'lord lovats lament'-- i remember hearing it for the first time when i was 6 played by a piper at a family reunion, its the one and only time i've seen my grandfather anywhere near tears aside from my grandmothers funeral.
