Happy, Johnny Walker is whisky, not whiskey.

You should check out some of our many established threads, like the one on Bourbon. We've also had multiple ones on Scotch, and you might find something better than JWB.

I have a few bottles to open when the weather gets a bit more brisk:
- Laphroaig QC
- Old Pulteney 12
- Glenlivet Nadurra Cask

I might pick up a Redbreast 12 too -- a fantastic whiskEy. Shame we can't get the 15-year-old here...I hear it's stellar.

I've always thought it was goofy to make a distinction between the two spellings. I assume you spell scotch whiskies without the e, but would be okay with calling Woodford whiskey? It's like saying that wine from France should be called vin, or that the blue on the union jack should be considered a colour.

Also, I'm a fan of Lagavulin 16 and the Ardbeg 10 (although a friend of mine in the industry said that Ardbeg 10 has gone downhill lately). Has anyone tried Caol Ila?

The presence or lack of the "e" in whisk(e)y is much like the "u" in words such as flavour.

For Islay-philes, Caol Ila is an underrated and often overlooked quality whisky.

That stuff sounds amazing.I like the way tastes, but I always get a wicked headache after I drink it.

I'm tired of seeing links to that crappy website, Happy. I'm sorry if I've hurt your feelings, but cool it with the obvious spam. How do you intend to operate a liquor afficianado website when you know next to nothing about liquor?

Canadian Club. With dry ginger ale.

CC and dry, thanks.
