BB Black Fleece FW 09 is up - Page 2

The jackets seem shorter than last season and maybe even shorter than fall '07. They now have darted suits as well as the classic sack suits, but the length of the jackets may be a deal breaker for me. No shell shoes, only calf. The sweaters don't interest me. I do like the navy shell document case. Overall, I'm not very enthusiastic about the line.

No pics, but it doesn't stand out much; however, someone standing close to you will notice it. It can be removed easily.

I actually like the sweaters a lot. Same with the button boots.

The button boots have zippers.

Lazy, lazy. And missing an opportunity to offer $500 button hooks.

Who makes the suits now?

I'd imagine Southwick. I didn't know they made full canvas, but I guess they do.

So is the USA construction/quality better or worse than the BF suits from Italy?

Because going from $2700 retail to $1600 retail is a major jump

I'm curious about this, too. Although the downward progression was from $2700 to $1900 to $1600, I know that the $1900 suits were made by the same vendor and just as good as the $2700 suits. I'm not so sure about the quality of the $1600 suits.

I can't imagine Southwick being better than Caruso. Did anyone else except Caruso make BF suits? I have seen couple of Southwick made suits today while browsing the store, Caruso made suits are definitely better, but then again I haven't seen any of the new BF merchandise.
