SNS Herning- fits? - Page 277

Dude,

I bought a bunch of clothes already. I'd rather make the right decision before buying something from the UK and return it for $19 shipping every time which I've been doing. I think you and other posters here don't like what I think, not because I think, but that others may share some of my ideas without taking the time to verbalize such. If you're a designer, you damn well are thinking and making decisions about every detail. No reason consumers shouldn't consider them either.

haha, I think at this point, you are looking for a debate.

Either you buy it or you don't.

I recently purchased the Memento Cardigan in Oxblood from Carson Street Clothiers in NYC. I've gotten plenty of compliments and the metal buttons have stood out in a good way. They're sturdily sewn into the fabric itself and add a bit of sophistication to the already elegant multi-colored fabric.

When you're wearing the momento, do the pockets oddly stick out to the sides?

Dude, it's been fucking freezing here for the last 10 days. Gorge waterfalls froze for the first time in like 20 years. Amazing out there.

Up to a balmy 37 today. Best part is that it's been steady blue sky days! Temps keep climbing over the next few days, w/ rain returning too. Back to Portland winter...

Sometimes, but when you're not using them they stay relatively tucked away.

Also, the fit of the Memento is TTS unlike this season's Starks

They do open slightly but I didn't find them to be a problem at all.

Reading about the sizing inconsistencies with this year's Starks was one of the main reasons I went with the Memento instead. I would judge it to be an athletic TTS.

Right, and US stockists don't carry the entire line either. But UK was more to point of ordering from abroad in general.

Well, the general public's easily impressed and not really a metric most of us would want to go by and imperfect Herning's already better than the average cardi. But my whole complaint of the contemporary button is based on an aesthetic of NOT drawing immediate attention. One of the cultural problems is equivalent to what's been happening in the music and 'audiophile' industries for many decades now, what's known as the Loudness Wars. Who can be louder, in effect, compromise quality for quantity, to force impression. I see it as endemic to many of the gimmick-based clothes of contemporary designers. The worst of which are the SFers who dress hobo, dyslexically, or dissonantly to gain attention, then turn around and say they're being "ironic" in a faux-philosophical rubbish way others don't "understand." On a more simple level, with the Chinese self-admitting in the other thread, of a repressed upbringing appears since they couldn't rebel as a teenager, they're now rebelling as an adult. I could go on but you guys get the point, hopefully.

Are there any online retailers that have a L grey-mix stark? I finally got around to trying on my M and it fits too tight to layer anything underneath (40" chest)
