SNS Herning- fits?

tres bien used to have sizing charts on the SNS stuff but I haven't checked that site in awhile. It didn't seem to move particularly fast as it's fairly expensive stuff, but I do like a few of their pieces. A couple Japanese sites, one is on rakuten as far as I remember, have carried it for awhile and have typically (off) Japanese sizing charts. edit- Actually I can't remember if tresbien actually had sizing charts or not, maybe just those Japanese sites. also, I think some of the styles look better 2 sizes oversized....

true to size. small fit great, xs was tight as fuck.

Just tried on a few of the FW09 pieces at Winn Perry. They really are excellent in all ways, especially the Naval Hoodie and the Stark Cardigan. I'm 6'3"/175 and large fits me great. I'd agree they are TTS, with a slim body. Also, long. I'm tall and the bodies run on the longer side--not too long, or sloppy, but def not cropped shorter.

^ Yes, I'd say so. They are not so slim that it would be tight on you, and a Large would be way too long I think. From the few pieces I tried on, I'd be happy if I could find more knits sized like this.

Good thread. For those of you who have handled Herning knits, would you recommend a large or XL for someone who is 6'1" and 185. I normally need about 22 pit-to-pit, which makes me think that XL is my size, but I don't want it to be too long. Also curious about how tight the shoulders/arm holes are, as I'm mostly top heavy due to lifting. Looking to pick up the stark.

Any advice you can provide would be very much appreciated.

Based on what I tried on yesterday, I'd say a large. The Stark is not super tight in the chest/arms, but it is a longer body, so if you sized up to XL, I think it would be really long on you at 6'1". The chunk knit gives more so it's not like it's constricting.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but can someone with a Stark give me some input on sizing? I was able to try on a size medium but they didn't have a large so I couldn't compare. Wore it over an oxford, it was very snug in the chest, shoulders and arms but perfect in the waist, sleeve length and body length. Visually, it looked nice and fitted, but I was a little uncomfortable with the tightness. From the measurements I've seen online, the medium size pit to pit is 19.5" and large is 21". All of my sweaters are in the 20.5" to 21" pit to pit range, which makes me think the medium might be the wrong size. I am 6'0, 175lb, 32" waist, 42" chest, 18" shoulders, athletic build and am stuck on what size I should buy, M or L? Will the knit stretch out to a comfortable fit if I stick with medium?

Stick with medium imo.
I wear a large and I´m 6´3, 34 waist, 44 chest and more like 19+ shoulders. It was very snug from the beginning, but stretched out nicely. I think a XL would have felt too big and long after a bit of wear. But ofcourse, thats a matter of taste.
I also have a their thin merino cardigan (very recommended) but had to get a XL in that one.
