Found a pair of vintage Susan Bennis / Warren Edwards boots (fom the early 80's maybe) and they look nice but I don't know anything about them. Saw a couple of posts on Warren Edwards which I am sure are related but I am wondering if any one knows how the quality was back in the 70-80s. They say made in Italy, anyone know where?

Thanks for any help

Wow! I haven't seen those shoes since 1982! a pair of blk/wht loafers w/cone shaped leather tassels, back then set me back for $475., unheard of at that time - but each time I wore them - ANGEL ***** fell out of the sky! They were the "creme de'la creme" of shoes in the fashion world - very limited. None of the shoes today, no matter who you choose, could stand up to them. The quality was "VERY" detailed (folded pleat heels was one), deep/rich colors i.e.; newborn calfskin leather (slink) and other A+ materials and superbly detailed stitching. They were based in San Francisco initially. Rumors are "Neiman & Marcus" are trying to revive the line but I personally doubt that they can re-capture that era.
