It's their LS henley from FW09, but with short sleeves.

A lot of people have been using a similar fabric (KZO) but I've seen another company use the same stuff. It's fashun, it happens.

Despite the hate and some of their things being over designed in my opinion, I do like some of the stuff Apolis does. That waxed bomber jacket they did this fall was pretty awesome--but didn't really fit in with my style otherwise I would have scooped it up. I'm interested in that Rapha collab--anyone familiar with them?

I bought two shirts from Apolis last season and they are two of the best shirts I have. I love the fit since I don't go for really slim fits in shirts anyway.

Rapha (www.rapha.cc) are a British startup that makes expensive cycling wear inspired by cyclists of the 50s-70s. They also have a magazine arm that fetishizes the thighs of weary waterboys and the suicides of tormented grimpeurs (www.rouleur.cc). Their cycling wear can get a lot of hate for being too expensive, but it's very well designed and in nice fabrics - their jerseys are in a sportwool (40% merino) and fit well and have a lovely finish. They have previously done some cool all merino jerseys based on Coppi's Bianchi stylings of the 50s in a fully fashioned construction made in Scotland.

They also have an American arm based in Portland that does some cool stuff and documents 'epic' rides across North America. I know some of their riders and they're a good bunch - check out the Rapha Continental section of their website for photoessays and ride descriptions. I imagine their 'collabo' will be suitably 'epic'. The rapha merino is much superior to the merino from other cycling outfits (Swobo etc.) IMO. The fits are usually slim, but I gather the last season was a bit more roomy.

Thank you for the info.

Their webstore has needs to be updated. I tried to order an item that shows in stock on their site but they've told me it is very much out of stock yet it remains available for sale online. Kind of strange.

I am curious about the fade on the Apolis utility trousers. Is it pronounced on the darker colors, or do they hold up? I am wondering if their cotton trouser will wash out quickly and it is simply better to go with lighter colors that will have less severe fading. Thanks

I bought the Indigo Utility Trouser several months ago and love them. I wear them often (almost every day for work) so thought I should get another pair in case I overuse them and they wear out too quickly. Considering I washed the initial pair countless times (probably close to 20 washes) I was amazed to find the colour had held remarkably well - the second pair I bought looked almost identical to the first.

has anyone handled the Rapha / Apolis knit?
