I have heard about this, and I think it's cool to see new faces on AI. Maybe I could hear some jokes from the judge, that would be great.

I'll second that Ellen is fantastic. A very funny and very genuine person. I agree that she might not be a great fit for the show, but remember that she is replacing Paula, who was entirely inane and barely cogent. I can see why they wanted her gone. But I only wish she was replacing that Kara Diguardi or Digiorno or whatever, too. She was less than worthless. Randy should go, too. He's terrible. Simon is a calculating douche but he is really the only even halfway credible judge. Hopefully Ellen will be good.

Ellen was a guest judge on So You Think You Can Dance and she did great despite her lack of technical knowledge. Very funny and a refreshing change from the regular judges.
