drew, i remembered when you were first conceiving the idea for the duffel last year you said you were considering a hidden button hooded coat. kind of like the bless hood coat except without the cape-ish button detail in the back. are you still considering that as an updated version of the duffel? i would instacop something like that despite having $xxxx gilt credits lying around.
JD, I am on my way back from a quick trip to the market, started raining and I wasn't feelin it today so I called it quits early. I did grab some Japanese tweed though, in. 95/5 wool and silk blend that will be interesting for the chesterfield.I think I'll have that and some solids, initially.
Silk blend sounds interesting. How heavy is it? Maybe drop a fabric closeup pic if you have a cam handy?
really interested to see if you put out a bag in the fall. doesn't sound like its high priority but i've been keeping my eyes out at stores and on ebay and haven't found anything I really like and i'm ready to pounce on something good
what do you call the metal loop on the inside of the TOJ peacoat that you can hang the coat with? I'm wondering if I could have it replaced with a different material in the future... my skin is sensitive to metal and I started to develop a rash when I wore it.
Really looking forward to the new stuff. I need an overcoat, so a single-breasted chesterfield would work so well. Would love a grey duffle with grey dyed rope and black toggles, I think I'll do some of that work myself though. Need a new trench too, so TOJ will get a lot of my money this year. I think a big problem with internet MTM is that people are retarded at measuring themselves. I don't fit much OTR well but all my MTM turns out great or at most needing a small amount of measurements.
Is it ok to soak the lambskin bombers? Haven't came across someone soaking the lambs yet. Looking for a more form fitting fit. thinking a soak would do the trick. Kinda hesitant because I know the lambskin is pretty delicate.
If it's ok to soak, how long and what temp water works best?
my lady is bringing me some 14oz redline selvedge from Japan that I am gonna tinker with and see what I can make.
do i smell some awesome jeans in the future? i remember a bit ago you were reminiscing about some older version of dior 19cm's right? dior 19cm were on my future-buy list, but these may trump them.

awesome, i've been wondering if you're going to be doing something like this. just kopped a baller job and i'm gonna need something to wear over a suit come winter, but i'm not really that interested in a peacoat or duffle for that. edit- do you still have any plans for footwear in the future?
Definitely interested in the chesterfield. The tweed sounds pretty nice and I need some nice outerwear this fall. Drew, how warm is it going to be? I'm hoping that it's something I can wear in the fall as well as winter.
