I prefer this to be a cotton-based material, and not a tech fabric. Not finding any tech fabric that I like much.

Black or maybe a charcoal or other very dark grey would be nice.

Are you thinking of a longer or shorter trench? I'm not a fan of the short/cropped ones I've seen

It's gonna be long. Some guys will need us to shorten them a bit for them in production, which we'll do as always. I'd say a 44 stock would fit a slim-normal 5'7 or 8 person well, as usual, 46 stock going up to about 5'10 or so, similar sizing as always, and these would be with length hitting a couple inches above the knee or so. That's about where I like a trench or long coat to hit. It's gonna be the same coat, two subtly different looks; one, with liner in, it will be not heavy but substantial, and be a bit structured looking, like how you'd expect a traditional trench to look. The other way would be to wear it with liner out, and cinch it, cinch the sleeves, maybe pull them up the forearms a bit, let the fabric gather and undulate, and be soft and unstructured.

IDC about DB but if you're still doing an SB you should do a bright color or two.

I would say that it'll be a 3-season coat for people in places like mine, where summer is really hot and winter really cold, and then even a 4 season coat for people in milder climes where summer has rain and doesn't get too hot, and winter stays mild, in the 30's. I'd really like to pop out a trench during monsoon season here and steez while staying dry, but it just gets too hot to wear anything but a short sleeved shirt around that time.

Yellow, red, or royal blue with detachable hood

That seems cool. I am in Toronto and have a Sterlingwear Peacoat that can function as a yearlong coat with layering. However it is total shit despite the fact that it looks good on me and I wish I did not buy it.

I could go with a trench and then also get a technical down coat for when the winter gets bad.

Light grey (hmm, maybe with black contrast trim too?) makes for a damned sexy trench, though I'd personally lean more towards full cotton rather than a poly-blend. Epaulets, gun flap(s), belted, single-vented A wool winter version would be pretty good too, but I wouldn't be able to afford both lol

probably not gonna do crazy colors for the trench. Maybe for the SB coat, I am not sure. DB trench is priority. All-cotton trench would make you a walking rain sponge... cotton/poly blend is not as bad you think it is, and it's the standard material for trench coats.

I'd love one in the traditional khaki colour, but I don't think I can pull it off. I'll probably stick to an olive/sage/dark khaki, grey, or navy one. I can't wait!

Side note: Does the TOJ paypal account really have (0) reputation? Made me a little nervous, and I got no response from you guys that indicated my payment was received. I'm sure you guys are just busy, but better safe than sorry. It was for a special herringbone pea.

PayPal stopped counting transactions like a year ago (before TOJ started up), but for some reason hasn't removed the numeric indicator next to most account titles. I also have a (0) under my name, despite having hundreds of transactions on record. Their explanation when I called them was that they're phasing it out in favor of other ways to indicate reputation, but I don't get why they haven't removed the numbers yet, as it's really confusing to have it there if it never increments.

Those interested in black will want to move quickly on it.

I was originally thinking whiskey, but a reddish brown would look pretty awesome too. Any possibility of a short of the different HHs you have?

Also, any (rough) estimate on db trench price? Trying to decide how much I should be saving.

trench sounds nicer by the minute, I'm really glad I decided to save up for one. Originally I was thinking navy or a light khaki, but I'd definitely be down for wine colored.

+1 to a yellow SB trench. A pure Dick Tracey-esque yellow - not a washed-out pale yellow. I've been trying to find one after seeing the one J. Crew made in 2008

Will I be able to see the FQHH samples before the 3rd run of the peacoat is over?
