I am looking for a waterproof boot. All I can find are these ugly workboots which would be fine if I was building a concrete wall but i'm not. Cole Haan did a nice chelsea a few years ago but I can't find anything close to it that is waterproof. Looking for something a bit more dressy but is most likely gonna be worn with jeans. Also don't want to pay a lot as this is going to be a shoe I am gonna beat on through the Russian winter which usually means it will be dead by May.

Any suggestions?

Maybe Tricker's or C and J?

More refined looking to me but I don't think they're waterproof...

Waterproof makes me think double vamp Russell Moccasins.

I love my Merrell Wilderness. It's a leather hiking boot lined with Gore-Tex, so it may be more built up that you want, but they are great. You can resole them instead of throwing them out, and they take a nice shine. Clearly not for suits, but good all winter with jeans.

If you look around you can generally find them for around $200-240.

wow didn't realize this board got full of smart ass answers when I forgot to put waterproof. Boy is my face red. Then answer without really reading the post and the part where I say I don't want to spend a lot and give a reply that is useless. Anyhow thanks to all the real answers. And yes they are real answers as they were being helpful. Here is the exact boot that I was looking at but they don't have my size and its about the price I want to pay. Cole Haan's website has it but still $200 is a bit more for a boot that will probably die on me in a few months so I'm looking for a similar cheaper version. But if it comes down to it I guess I will have to go that route. http://www.neimanmarcus.com/store/ca...4&ci_sku=N0CQ1 The Merrell boot is not really what I'm looking for. I've seen a lot in the more hiking boot style as well as the timberland style of work boot. I know the market really doesn't get to much interest in a dressier boot but seeing if anything is out there.
