I NEED HELP!! Chest-acne leftover disaster

Alright this summer was horrible for me in terms of epidermis conditions. I had chest and back acne like crazy ALL SUMMER. It finally died out around mid-August and the healing process has taken place.

However, I had this one chest acne that I was picking on for about a good 2 weeks during the summer and it's been NEARLY TWO MONTHS and the "mark" is still there!!!

The acne has disappeared but now there's this like "red scab" mark. Usually my skin just scabs these things and they fall off and I'm usually left with a blemish mark on my skin that eventually fades away as my skin grows out. However, this particular chest acne mark has just stayed at its red mark stage for nearly TWO MONTHS.

Granted the mark has grown considerably smaller (by about half the radius), but the very root of it is STILL THERE.

It's at the WORST POSSIBLE SPOT too... it's right at my upper chest cleavage line so that if I ever want to wear a V-neck shirt, my angry red mark shows!!!

I've tried EVERYTHING to get rid of this thing.

- vaseline
- lotion
- acne prescription creams (the acne's gone, it's just the mark!)
- anticoagulants such as Lipactin (maybe it'll unclot the mark and make it fade away?)
- blemish fighting cremes

Nothing has really finished it off.

I really want to get rid of this thing so I can get my life back and take off my shirt in public without being terribly embarrassed. If you can please give me any suggestions, that would be amazing. Thank you so much!

See a dermatologist and ask him about it. You know, someone with years of training and experience in dealing with skin conditions instead of a bunch of anonymous guys online.

Honestly these things usually fade with time.

I don't really have the TIME to go see a dermatologist that's the problem.

I guess I will need to make the effort..

lol

Your username is "SuperSaiyan." I'm betting you are in high school. Believe me, you have time. Miss practice or whatever for one day, tell them you have to see a doctor.

I find it funny when teenagers say they are too "busy" to do things.

I don't know you, but I've seen some people get a hell of a lot done in a single day. The idea that a teenager in high school can't find a couple hours to go to the doctor is laughable. You really have no openings in the next month?

I'm less busy now with college and a job than I was with just highschool.

Anyways, try fish oil capsules. If it's just a purple/red mark and not active then it might go away within a week or two.

I've read better results with extra virgin olive oil. Just rub some on a few times a day, then wipe it off a few minutes later. You can also have it on all night as well.

wow...

does Olive Oil actually work? I'd expect adding oil into skin would make it worse... isn't that why all those acne cream cleansers say "oil-free?"

the easy answer to resolve acne is do what your mom told you do: * eat healthy, start by cutting out preservatives and non-fresh foods. * get enough REGULAR rest * exercise regularly, this will push out toxins. * actively monitor your emotional state. try to stay neutral and free from stress. a dermatologist will most likely prescribe something like antibiotics w/a topical creme. while these are good, their main action is to kill bacteria. this may solve the problem. in my case i live in a humid area when hives/heat rash/cysts is a problem. these are mainly in the fungus family. the antibiotics kills acne bacteria which in turn allows the fungus to thrive. this is why sometimes i get bumps that act differently from regular acne. some people use nizoral (which is basically a dandruff shampoo) and have good results. i opt for regular yoga practice with is very detoxifying. you get an excellent overall physical workout with the addition of twisting and stretching which pushes out toxins in the muscles. in addition i use a few drops of pure tea tree oil mixed with a little water and apply it to problem areas. it will smell strange and be stingy. tea tree oil is a natural antiseptic. i chose this method because it was holistic and manageable in the long run. with regard to lifestyle which are inherently toxic (ie. eating unheathy, consuming drugs, alcohol, etc). think of it like this. alot of people say "you are what you eat" which makes sense but in reality: YOU ARE WHAT YOU DONT SHIT OUT ps: trader joe's has the best/cheapest tea tree oil.
