San Fransisco Area Hand Surgeon

Thread Starter
I know this is a stretch-especially over the holiday weekend- but I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask as SF is full of people who might be able help or at least point me in the right direction.

I've got a friend who got injured out in San Fransisco area and is in need of a hand surgeon for a Pro Bono operation. From what little I've heard the 2 tendons on the middle 2 fingers are totally gone and need to be replaced synthetically or will be amputated. I also sounds like the entire hand and lower arm is in danger.

I'm in NY and don't know anyone in the SF area so if anyone knows of anyone who might be able to help I'd be really grateful.

San Francisco General Hospital (I'm pretty sure that's what they call their county hospital) is staffed by the faculty at UCSF. One would think that UCSF would have at least one decent hand surgeon. Also, I don't know much about plastic surgery, but I'm not sure there is a synthetic tendon. My money says he gets cadaveric tissue.
