It's just about getting noticed at first, as it is one of the first things I notice on a girl, whether or not it turns into nothing, a night of fun, or something else. And, let's be honest, would I rather a girl notice my Breitling than my jeans? That just screams "gold-digger," if she knows what it is/comments. At least if she notices the jeans she's noticing my sophisticated taste and muscular legs .

does anyone have a source for the helmut lang jeans? i was an idiot and didn't pick up the pair i saw at barneys a couple weeks ago... but they are damn near impossible to find.

Darker is always dressier and I don't think the brand matters as much as fit.

scoopnyc.com has a few helmut lang pairs left as well

until the production of helmut lang starts up under the new ownership, they are going to be in short supply

I think it is down to the two pairs of flap-pocket RR that I posted (one in the OP, the other on the second page). These just seem more interesting than the 7s. I emailed RR, and they said that these would fit similar to the Pete jeans I tried on, with a slightly lower rise. So I think I will order a pair and see. Worst case, I'm out the shipping.

I couldn't find any RRs that fit right, and the pair of CoH I linked from Barneys fit too low (the guy said it can vary by wash), so I'll let everyone knows how they fit when they get here.

thanks for the tips everyone, but so far no luck... i really can't believe that i had a 29/32 helmut lang jean in hand in the perfect color (their very dark no real wash to it), and i didn't buy them. only 160 bucks, too. only pair of non-black HL's in the store, too...

Update to the update: Ended up not going with the CoH I just posted, and going with the plain dark ones in the OP. I had ordered that other pair, and then found out they are "stretch" which I hate.
