You want an opinion? This thread is useless without pics. Now there's an opinion.

Is that the Cherokee that is useless as a Cherokee but crammed with a big engine and sport suspension for the street? If that's it, I'd say it's a fast Cherokee.

I love the looks of the them, and while they may serve nicely as a fast utility style wagon, like Pio stated, they are somewhat useless as a truck (low ground clearance, and inability to attach a tow hitch).

Rated at 11/14 mpg, slightly better than a motor home.

That truck is just about good for doing one thing: hauling ass from a stop light. It's useless otherwise, and it'll depreciate faster than you can say SRT-8.

Cool car, errr truck, but the novelty will probably wear off soon. Really easy to upgrade though.

The Jeep SRT-8 looks very nice. Last week a lady (who must have been on a test drive) was trying to get me to race her a few times as we went down a stretch of road. Each time we got to a stop sign (there were about 3 stop lights before she turned off into the dealership), she would look at me and smile then floor the truck when the lights turned green.

I had a real moron behind me in one the other day -- all blinged out, too. When he passed me (with twenty on me and I was at 70-something), and I saw the SRT-8 badge I was like, what?

The vast majority of people I've seen driving these SRT-8s are nothing short of douchebags. I think the truck itself was built with this demographic in mind.

What the hell?

I've seen one or two on the road. They look great and seem to have lots of gusto. However, I'm not a fan of Jeep due to one I owned several years ago that was of very poor build quality.

Comes close to a Hummer in terms of my desire to kick off the mirrors. And I drive a Jeep.

Like it said earlier, it is essentially as pointless as a BMW X6.

I agree. Although I am curious about the performance attributes of the M version of the X6.
