http://www.dinearoundseattle.org/index.php 25 restaurants 3 courses for $15/Lunch (some don't do lunch) $30/dinner Sunday-Thursday every week Sept 1-30th These are the ones that interest me. I'm going to try to make it to at least four of them this month. Andaluca Campagne or Chez Shea Crush Earth and Ocean Monsoon East Nishino

Some of the best places in Seattle are the hole in the wall places.
Try In the bowl for noodles on Capitol hill. Or Kabab house in Greenwood for Indian food.

For desert, Dilettante on Capitol hill is the place to go!

There's a great french place in the corner end of pike place market, has a small view of the harbor, can't remember the name though. Umi saki house was probably my favorite place in general to eat, the downtown roll and the lychee cocktail were awesome.

I haven't heard of any of the places OP mentioned...but I'm an expert about restaurants on the Ave (at UW), hahaha. Oh, life of a college student...

Yes! Place Pigalle. Maybe it's Italian, not French, haha. Cafe Amore on like 4th and wall is great Italian food, too. There's a ton of crappy, overpriced, overrated restaurants in Seattle, too- what's the name of that big place called "blue" something? They have 2 stories there, and lobster mac and cheese? Expensive and totally average, they can fuck right off.

They are French inspired. Not traditional though. Excellent place, great food. BluWater bistro? I know they have Dungeness Crab Mac and Cheese. I dunno who "overrates" that place. They are a local chain. four of which sit on very expensive waterfront real-estate. You are paying for the view as much as the food. I'd rather go to Anthony's or Salty's if that's what I was after. Their shit is about the same price as 13 Coins, which I am constantly surprised is still in business.

My favorite local chain is Purple Cafe. Never had a bad time there.
