Happy Socks

Has anyone bought a pair from happysocks.com for bold colored socks? How do they wear? They were featured on valetmag.com and they look to be quite the option for bold colored and patterned socks.

These are probably popular with the English. It would be hard to imagine an American wearing these and even harder if he is already "fringe".

I have about 10 pairs, they are very nice and fit well around the foot but not so high on the leg and tend to fold a little above the ankle bone.

I'd hit it.

I have a number of pairs of bold socks and I am American. I grew up with plenty of old-school preppys who always wore them on weekends, for holidays or to the country club.

Sure, there are exceptions but we have hundreds of millions of people. For the English, these sorts of socks are fairly accepted even if they wouldn't wear them. For Americans, these, like pink shirts, are understood in a small circle but not outside of it.

I've bought Happy Socks a bunch of times...

and they have all ripped or torn WELL before any other socks I own, including just basic socks from Macys or TJ Maxx or whatever.

They're not especially rugged but their designs are good and they're comfy.

I have 20 pairs of them. Not one problem yet. For those in Toronto Canada, The Bay (Yonge & Bloor) carries them at $10 - $12 / pair.

I have a few pairs and they fit well. They do not last as long as other socks, but for the price, they are not bad. I buy them because they are one of the few that can be purchased in smaller sizes.

Richer Poorer also makes bold colored/patterned socks. When we were looking at potential sock vendors, we found them to be of a higher quality than Happy.

The Richer Poorer socks look nice, but they only come in one size.

Yes, but where are the chronically depressed socks?

My friend also gave one pair, I rarely use them. I´m not very fond of them. They are of lower quality than Dore Dore and others.
I asked about Boonie Doon socks too, a similar priced yet older brand but nobody is familiar wit it...

True they (Happy) are not the best but I have so many socks it will probably take forever to wear them out.
