Tucker Carlson Abandons the Bow Tie? - Page 2

I just saw Tucker without the bow tie for the first time, and I must say, no offense but he looks like much less of a geek now without it.

It's because he has no style, no matter what some might say. His bow tie had the distinction of looking resigned in limpness.

LabelKing,

You never feel a wee bit limp in your Gaultier togue?

Do tell!

With a bow tie on a younger man, "geeky" or "eccentric" is a common judgment. Probably because it's an unusual focal point and has been worn badly by some public, often controversial figures, the piece is like a scapegoat for anything wrong with the wearer's image (or personality).

Needless to say, at various formal events where the rules for all the elements are strict (hard to mess up), the bow tie is a good option for any man.

I sometimes wish for a thread that reads:
Tucker Carlson Abandons the oxygen?

...and still I wait.

Why all this hate for Tcker? I always thought he was a pretty free-thinking, libertarian minded guy. Definately a cut above your Bill O'reilly and James Carville types. He also treats his guests with more respect than almost anyone on television.

He looked good in his bowtie, blazer, khakis, and Aldens. I dont know exactly how you can claim he has no style? He has dressed in a consistent way that reflects his personality and upbringing since he was probably 10. How many of us can say that? How many people on TV are as instantly recognizable at a glance, and in an unoffensive way?

Do you ever feel a wee bit faint from your olfactory secretions?

No, that would be your own mephitic breath pumped out of the Victorian gas mask you've so proudly bedazzled with the teeth of King Nebuchadnezzar's pet Eurasian otter.
