Personally, I love the Party in the USA. Granted, the first time I heard it I was totally out of my head at four in the morning off of Beefeater and a certain white, powdered substance. But I consider the song to be a perfectly acceptable guilty pleasure, even while sober. Slate published a pretty good article defending and elevating the song in general. http://www.slate.com/id/2229841/ "Who needs credibility, though, when you've got a song like "Party in the USA" on your hands? It's the best song of her career and the first that truly deserves its ubiquity."

I agree wholeheartedly. Killer beat. The guitar mixed in with the heavy electronica synth undertones. . . Listen to it on a Kipsch speaker system and you really get a feel for how complex the melody is and how full bodied the composition is as a whole. Not to mention it gets all the sluts riled up and in a good mood. Killer song, there's a reason it was #1 on iTunes for like 4 months

You should listen to it on a Klipsch speaker system with the wires elevated by styrofoam cups
